Overview

A lovely walk on Christmas day morning from the top of Sutton bank, taking in the White horse, Gormire Lake and the finest view in England according to James Herriot.

We start by heading along the top of the bank to the White horse where we should hopefully have some great views across the Vale of York. We then descend down to walk back through woods and fields until we reach the Gormire Lake. From the lake we then have a climb up to the spot that is describes as the finest view in England. Lets hope for a clear day!
