Overview

Trace the course of the River Tamar as its begins its journey inland on part of this first section of the Tamara Way.

We will meet at the cafe in Devonport Park, walk to catch the Torpoint Ferry where we follow the river's edge to Cremyll, passing through Benskins Wood,  the pretty villages of St Johns and Millbrook before returning on the Cremyll ferry to Plymouth shores.  Fairly flat terrain, a couple of steep hills, on quiet lanes and country paths.  

Toilets and refreshments in  Devonport Park, Millbrook and Mount Edgcumbe. Torpoint ferry is free for foot passengers, Cremyll ferry £2.50.
