Overview

Route: From Teggs Nose Reservoir Car Park, ascend to Tegg's Nose, then Tegg's Nose Visitor Centre, Clough House, Hardingland, Hacked Way Lane, Charity Lane to Forest Chapel (have to go via Charity Lane as the path through the forest is closed). Then Standing Stone CP, Shutlingsloe (steep ascent and descent, will bypass if weather is less than good), Banktop, Wildboarclough, Greenway Bridge, Oakenclough, Hanging gate, then follow Gritstone Trail back to start.

Approximately 12 miles and around 2700 ft ascent (OS Maps), moderate to strenuous. If wet could be quite muddy in places so poles may help.

Please bring food etc. for morning lunch and afternoon breaks.

Sorry no dogs.
