This stage of the Thames Path picks up where we left off in Chertsey where we cross the bridge and follow on the North Bank until Staines. Not long after this, we will arrive at Runnymede where King John is said to have signed The Magna Carta. We will take a small diversion to visit the memorial to John F. Kennedy, this sits on a plot of land that was gifted to the USA by Queen Elizabeth II and so technically we will walk on US soil.
Following this we will follow the river as it works its way through villages until we end in the shadow of Windsor Castle, where everyone is welcome to join for a drink in a pub.
Please bring a packed lunch. Some paths can be muddy so please be aware.
