We are the White Cliffs Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk from Thornden Wood car park. (Parking at Thornden Wood car park is £2.50 for the day on a Sunday. There is a card machine in one car park or you can pay on Ring Go (car park 32512), however, there is no wi-fi until you are a good mile from the car park. Anyone looking to park can pay in advance. There is a sign (how official is unknown) which says you have until midnight on the same day to make a payment.
We will head towards Herne Common and onto Herne Bay where we will stop for a 45-minute lunch break. There are numerous cafes and bars for refreshments or bring a packed lunch.
Our return will be via Swalecliffe and Chestfield golf club, arriving back at the car park for 15:45.
Dogs are welcome; however, this walk does not lend itself to dogs off their leads.
