The circular walk will start from the layby opposite the Greenham water tower located next to Pigeon's Farm Road. The route proceeds in a southerly direction across Bury's Bank Road and through Greenham Common to cross the A339 near the Swan round-about. The walk continues to Newtown Common turning in a broadly Easterly direction along Jonathan Hill, footpaths and minor roads to Sydmonton Common. Once in the Common the route turns Northerly eventually crossing the A339 and through Greenham Common to return to the Water tower.
The walk is unrestricted for the number of walkers, but please book online using the link below before 6.00 pm on Friday, 9th January. Also please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately for this Winter walk. There will be muddy and slippery parts to the walk. Wellington boots may be usefull.
Please bring food and a drink for a mid morning break.
