Good Paths throughout, two climbs, no stiles.
The walk starts from Threipmuir car park (£5 all day charge), toilets being installed but may not yet be in use.
We begin strolling through woodland, crossing Redford Bridge and climbing alongside the quiet road up to the Bravelaw Estate. We follow a good path across the pasture and through a re-wilded area before climbing steeply away from Green Cleugh to contour the southern side of Threipmuir Reservoir. There are great views across the reservoir to the Northern hills.
Descending to the head of the Reservoir and the Edinburgh Water Company shelter, we cross the dam and follow the shoreline along to turn towards Harlaw. A circuit here takes us past the visitor centre where there are toilets before completing the circuit alone the south side of Harlaw and Threipmuir back to the car park.
