We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will set out along the Test Way towards Fullerton and then turn towards Longstock.
After passing the Peat Spade we will head along a restricted byway before walking across fields giving us fine views of Leckford and Stockbridge Down.
After returning on the Test Way we will complete our walk back into Stockbridge High Street and ramble around Common Marsh adjacent to the River Test.
This is an easy walk on flat ground with one slight incline and no stiles.
The pub will be open at 10am so you can order lunch and use their toilet facilities.
The White Hart is a traditional coaching inn with good hearty pub grub, reasonably priced and fine ales. It is easy to find by the roundabout at the end of the High Street adjoining the A30/A3057. There is ample parking.
