Sandra from Bath Ramblers has kindly shared this walk with us from Kingswood Ramblers. Everyone welcome.
Timsbury is on a mini-plateau so the walk is hilly in places but with all round views of the countryside below, particularly south, west and north. After a climb up The Sleight, we continue across fields and down quiet lanes. There is a short section on a busy B road with no pavement. Farmborough, an attractive village with the Conygre Brook flowing down the centre of the main street, is on the circular route. Walking boots recommended and you may find walking poles helpful, if have them.
We will have a short coffee stop and, depending on the weather, a short lunch stop - please bring a drink and a picnic lunch. The 'The Seven Stars' pub in Timsbury is where we can have refreshments at the end of the walk.
