Overview

Starting from the car park on Red Rock Lane our route takes us along the River Douglas valley then through Haigh Lower Plantation to reach the canal tow path at the lock ladder. After passing the Top Lock at Kirkless we turn to pass through Haigh Country Park before heading to Arley Lane and returning through Wigan Golf Course at Arley Hall.
