We are the Strathkelvin Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is one of two local walks starting from the usual meeting point at Southbank Business Park in Kirkintilloch. Both walks will set off together, heading west along the canal footpath before cutting off at Penny's Path and following the River Kelvin to Torrance. We will stop at Woodmill Park for a coffee break before we split into two groups. One group will follow the path alongside the Kelvin and on to Cadder before turning back along the canal path to the starting point. The second group will take a longer route through Langshot Wood and along minor roads to Balmore before joining the canal path back to the start point.
