This is a challenging hill walk at a brisk pace.
The walk begins just beyond Kirknewton and goes straight into a fairly long and steep ascent on tracks, fields and moorland up to Easter Tor. There is then a short descent before the climb to the Newton Tors where there are often wild goats. The route climbs again to Hare Law before a steep descent. The return is past Commonburn House before joining St Cuthbert's Way and heading back to the start.
There are stiles to climb and the ground is rocky and uneven at times, particularly on the descent from Harelaw. Poles and boots advised.
Parking is limited so contact walk leader to discuss car share.
Circular walk, grade B+, strenuous. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
