Glyndwr's Way starts in Knighton, Powys, (marked in the High Street by a Slab of Slate) and meanders 135 miles through stunning Welsh countryside encompassing open moorland, farm land, forests, lanes and tracks. This undulating walk on Glyndwr's Way will follow Stage 1 but in reverse:
Plan: Intending walkers meet at Knighton Railway Station - 10.30am latest.
All aboard the 10.50am train to Llangynllo station (request halt) arriving 11.07am, fare currently £3.90pp. (Timetable listing as of 28th April).
Thereafter the walk commences to join Glyndwr's Way for the 8.5 mile tramp through great countryside back to Knighton finishing at the Slab of Slate near to Knighton Clock Tower.
Walk Leader will meet with the Group at Knighton Station.
Parking in Knighton: limited spaces at Knighton station or Offas Dyke Centre carpark or other local carparks?
This walk is dependent on a reliable timely train from Knighton to Llangynllo thus participants are recommended to check Ramblers Whatsapp group in the leadup for any unexpected changes.
In the event of difficulties with trains a local to Knighton walk will be offered together with new information.
