We are the East Staffordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in the East Staffordshire area to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Meet by Tutbury Castle gates. We walk to the Mill site and follow the River Dove to Fauld. Crossing the road we continue to British Gypsum and on to Hanbury Church. We proceed to Fauld Crater, where we stop for lunch. Return to Tutbury passing Hare Holes and Castle Hayes farms.
Please note, there are a lot of stiles!
Limited parking near Castle gates. On street parking available on Castle Street or Duke Street car park, 200 metres.
If travelling by bus, please let us know. Buses 401, the villager and the Tutbury Jinnie all come through Tutbury.
No dogs please, as we will be walking through fields with livestock.
