We offer walks in London and Home Counties, accessible by public transport.
The route of this 8 mile circular walk starts at the historic town of Hertford, then passes through open countryside before reaching Ware. Another historic town, Ware will be our lunch stop. After lunch we follow the River Lea Navigation back to Hertford where the walk ends by approximately 4 o'clock. The surfaces are pavement, tracks & towpath. There is a one long ascent but not steep. There are toilets at Hertford North station.
Lunch: Cafes, pubs and places to sit for those wishing to bring a picnic.
