Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
Join us for a lovely walk along The River Wey Navigation, approached via a picturesque flat route through woodland. The walk then takes us uphill via The Chantries to the North Downs Way. After a lovely woodland walk and a fabulous view we descend to Chilworth before another incline to return to Chinthurst Hill car park. There are two steady ascents and there are no stiles on this walk, although there may be mud in places but it will be passable.
There will be a coffee break and lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch as there are no shops or cafes en route. Dogs on leads only.
Chinthurst Hill Car Park. Off the B2128 The car park is on the right from the Shalford direction about 100m past New Road on your left. The entrance to the car park is marked by orange and white signs at grass height at the entrance (which looks like someones driveway). Slow down or you will be turning round! This is a good sized car park and rarely busy. OS Map X145.
