We are the Isle of Wight Ramblers. We arrange walks, monitor paths and help our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will be starting at Redhill Farm where car parking has been arranged. The occasion will be the opening of a special gate in memory of Tim Hough who died in 2022.
Tim will have been well-known to many of you. He was an enthusiastic walk leader, renowned for his humour and he gave many years of service on the Isle of Wight Ramblers Committee. The gate has been provided by Jackie Hough. We will also be visiting the Ramblers 250th gate at Wydcombe waterfall.
On returning to Redhill Farm, tea, coffee and cake will be available for all walkers.
Please note: Take care if using a satnav to get to Redhill Farm - it is best to follow a road map!
New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
Additional Notes
Depending on the weather, consider suitable, clothing, footwear, walking poles, sun cream, drinks, and food. Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker.
