THIS WALK REQUIRES BOOKING VIA MEETUP - https://www.meetup.com/metropolitan-walkers/events/298285013/
Are you interested in a shorter walk while we’re against the clock in winter? Then join us for a walk around intriguing sights (with clocks) in South London including Bethlem Royal Hospital (famous for being England’s first asylum in 1247 and now a mental health hospital based in 200 acres of green space), Kelsey Park, Beckenham Place Park (Lewisham's largest green space) and Kent County Cricket Ground. We will stop for lunch and a toilet stop in Beckenham Place Park. There is a cafe but you may wish to bring a packed lunch as there is often a queue. We will finish at Clock House station.
Terrain: Urban, parks
Travel: Take 10:22 train from London Charing Cross (10:25 London Waterloo East, 10:30 London Bridge), arr. Eden Park 10:56.
Optional: Please join us for a drink in the Three Hounds beer café and bottle shop at the end.
