To book a place on the walk PLEASE TEXT BECKY on 07905 705190 giving your name and mobile phone number.
This is mostly a town walk where we explore Chesham and visit sites that are linked to Suffragettes who lived in the area (and one of their staunch opponents). This part of the walk is just over 3 miles. From here, we can pick up one of the local footpaths and explore the beginning of the Chess Valley. Of course, those who are feeling energetic can then continue onwards to Rickmansworth. Alternatively, we will return to the station for about 2 pm. If you plan on doing the Chess Valley part of the walk, you will need to wear appropriate footwear as it is likely to be muddy. Please bring a drink and something to eat.
Meet outside Chesham Underground Station, HP5 1DH.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you. Please remember to bring along your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with details of emergency contacts, medical conditions and medications.
The leader has set a limit of 18 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
