Catch the bus from Llandeilo to Broad Oak and walk back on lanes and footpaths via Llangathen and Dinefwr Park. Enjoy views over Aberglasney and Grongar Hill as we ascend to Llangathen; shortly the Towy, Dinefwr Castle and Golden Grove come into view to the south; then down to Cilsan footbridge and on to the wilder, western end of Dinefwr Park; we pass the white cattle sheds and then cut across the formal park to the main entrance. It's 3.4 miles with no stiles; one gentle climb at the start and then easier going; one short stretch may be muddy so poles could be handy.
Meet at 9.20am in good time at the New Road bus stop (opposite the Calvinistic Methodist chapel) to catch the 9.31am (Bus 280) towards Carmarthen. Bring your bus pass or £1.90.
