A circular walk, leaving from the village hall in Wass, we head uphill through mature woodland to a hidden observatory. We then cross farm land and another climb to Scotch Corner, a beautiful secret chapel with stunning vistas. From here, the walk drops down to Oldstead village, before returning to Wass via Byland, where we will have time to explore the ruins of the abbey.
🅿️ There is a small car park at the village hall, please bring cash for the honesty box. If this is full then alternative parking is available on the road through the village. Please park considerately, and consider car-sharing if possible.
🐶 Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times
🥪 Please bring a packed lunch
