Overview

This walk takes you through the three villages that make up ‘Barcombe’. The original village of Barcombe near the church was largely deserted at the time of the Black Death, when Barcombe Cross replaced it as the main centre. The settlement of Barcombe Mills grew up around the river Ouse, with flour mills being mentioned in Domesday.

This walk has stiles and undulations do wear walking shoes, boots or trainers.

Parking in Barcombe Carpark or on the street. Please be aware that the carpark is small and there is free on street parking available on the High Street. Please carshare as this walk is difficult to access on public transport.

Optional drink in the Royal Oak pub at the end of the walk
