We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From car park, we head down hill, then up to mast near SH 287 (Spot Height, as shown on map), follow track past Hogs Hole and Highdown to Downs Copse. We then follow the Test Way passing Linkenholt DofE building.
Climb up through Combe Wood and on to Saxon Church by Manor Farm then pass Lower Farm and climb up Sandpits Down back up to the car park.
Following a recent recce, walking poles and gaiters are recommended for this walk, as there are 3 ascents and descents.
Note no restriction on numbers and no requirement to book on line.
Please bring refreshments for a mid morning break.
Please note, the car park is to the east of Walbury Hill and NOT the car park for Combe Gibbet
