Starting from Market Lane in Wells, we take a short walk through a new housing development then take a footpath through fields to the east gate of Holkham Park. Entering the park, we take a path following the northern boundary wall to the north gate where we follow the main drive down to the coast road. Crossing with care, we follow Lady Ann's Drive north towards the nationally renowned beach. After pausing at The Lookout, we turn east, initially on the beach, then passing through the pinewoods on the dunes before emerging at the entrance to Wells Harbour, near the lifeboat station.
We follow the causeway, with fine views of the harbour, into the the beautiful old port town of Wells then follow lanes through the town back to our start point.
