Overview

From the centre of Welshpool, we walk along the towpath and follow the Montgomery Canal to Buttington. We then continue on quiet lanes via a steady ascent to Caethro. Return along fields and lanes to Bron Y Buckley Wood. There are a few stiles on the route and a hazardous road to cross. Mud on the steep path through the woods so walking poles will assist on the return descent. A couple of fallen trees to negotiate but manageable with care.

Please bring refreshments for coffee and lunch stops.

The walk leader will meet you at the start point.
