Overview

Meet near the monument by Bakewell Bridge car park, Coombs Road. Free parking on Station road if you are early bird.
A lovely circular walk starting out past All Saints Church, skirting the back of Ashford-in-the-Water before heading up to Sheldon and through the beautiful Great Shacklow Wood. From there, the route takes in Monsal Head (lunch) with its iconic viaduct views, before weaving through Little Longstone and Great Longstone. The return follows the River Wye back into Bakewell. A great mix of villages, woodland and riverside walking.
