We will meet in Wetherby at Station car park , Linton road LS226SD. It will be approximately 10/11 miles . We normally walk at fast pace , although it is a moderate walk and can be v muddy in places. Starting the walk at the car park we proceed through Scaur Bank , along the riverside to Collingham church . Through Collingham to Compton, crossing Compton pond on Compton lane , over the footbridge A1(M) to Clifford. Village. At the Church in Clifford onto windmill road towards Bramham, then right through a several fields to Toulston. Over the Rudgate bridge and the A659 towards the river Wharfe again near Newton Kyme . There is the remains of a Roman fort on the right. Across the Wharfe bridge following tracks to Thorpe Arch village The bay horse inn may be open . Along Wood Lane and left into the Heuthwaite tracks , back through Wetherby to the car park.
It is mainly tracks ( often v muddy and slippery if it has rained). There is some hill climbing involved , though mostly underlating. There may be a few stiles.Toilets available in Wetherby. Takeaway drinks in Collingham and possibly Thorpe arch.
The pace is normally fast to moderate.
