We are the Retford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From Wheatley Village Hall Car Park we follow tracks and fields towards West Burton, then on to Bole, where we stop for coffee at St Martin's Church. From here we cross the railway line and head towards the River Trent, and stop for lunch on the Trent bank near the Pumping Station.
Then we walk alongside Catchwater Drain to Sturton. We return to Wheatley across fields to Muspits Lane and back to the Car Park.
Please wear suitable walk clothing and boots. Also bring packed lunch and plenty of water.
Be aware there are likely to be cows and horses in some of the fields
Chapelgate Car Park Retford
From Retford take A620 to North Wheatley. Exit A620 at Sun Inn into Low Street. Follow this to Sturton Road, then turn left just after the Post Office to Village Hall Car Park Please note the Walk Leader will meet you here (not at Chapelgate)
