Long trousers and sleeves recommended unless you love nettles and thistles as there's a short stretch with quite a few of them.  Same stretch includes a stile that is more like two low fences where you go up and across than up and over, so should not cause problems.

We end the walk at Escrick church, having walked through Gashouse Wood to the village green, and perhaps after enjoying a visit to Escrick Club, if we arrive late enough. They open at 3pm. Exact timings will depend on various factors, including how long we spend wandering in the woods and exploring Escrick. There are 4 buses an hour from Escrick back to York, so no pressure.
