Overview

This walk staring from Newgate Bank Car Park crosses the B1257 and walks north along the river passing Laskill Bridge to reach Helm House.

Crossing the road again we walk up passed Laverock Hall Farm to reach the moor. Crossing the moor we reach Helmsley Bank which we follow back to the cars.

This walk has field and moor walking and hopefully the heather will be in bloom.

10 miles and about 1000ft ascent.
