Overview

A Winter walk around the beautiful Whitegate area. Starting at the Whitegate station Cafe, we will follow the Whitegate way towards the Winsford Salt mine. From there the walk will follow the river Weaver to Vale Royal locks where we will hop over to head back through to Vale Royal Abbey and golf course. 

Following this, we take in New Pool, a woodland boardwalk, Petty Pool and then back onto the Whitegate way.

There are toilets at the start (open at 10am) and refreshments at the cafe as long as we arrive back before 3pm

Paths are good but there is likely to be lots of mud at this time of year.

Car parking is free but can get busy

Dogs are welcome if known to the walk leader and on a short lead. Please contact the walk leader if you want to bring a dog
