If you want to blow away the cobwebs before the turkeyfest begins, this is the walk for you.
An undulating walk through the lovely Cheshire countryside. This moderate walk incorporating the best bits of the Sandstone Trail. This is a stunning walk through ancient woodland and along farm tracks with far reaching views across the Cheshire Plains. There are a few short ascents but nothing too strenuous.
We start just outside the village of Bickerton, pick up the Sandstone trail past Mad Allen's Whole. Make out way to Rawhead, Bulkeley Hill and then make our way back for a well earned drink.
Please note that there are no public toilets on our route.
Walk Meeting Point: Free National Trust Bickerton Car Park, accessed off Goldford Lane. Postcode is approximate. If coming from A534 onto Long Lane and then Goldford Lane, turn right for the car park immediately after the pond.
