Overview

A varied moderate walk of around 8.5 miles from Whittington, taking in Whittington Heath, Packington Moor, Hopwas Hays Wood and the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal. The route is on a mix of good paths including a section of the Heart of England Way. There are a few inclines and a couple of stiles.

Meet for car sharing at Wyndley 08:45. The walk will start in Whittington on Main Street, meeting in front of the Co-operative Store WS14 9JR at 09:30. There is on-street parking available close by. Directions: A38 towards Lichfield. In just over a mile, take the A5192 exit towards Lichfield. Turn right onto Cappers Lane/A5192. Turn left onto Church Street. Turn left onto Main Street.
