Overview

A moderate, generally flat circular walk of 6.5 miles around the Tamworth countryside along well-defined paths. The walk starts by crossing fields towards Tamworth, before entering a new housing estate, then down to the River Anker. We will follow the route of the river towards Shuttington, passing through Amington Hall Farm, then taking the path leftwards at Laundry Cottage. We go past Statfold Barn Farm and across the B5493, where we start our return to Wigginton. We will pass Keeper's Cottage and Syerscote Barn Farm, before crossing the railway line as we approach Wigginton.

There are a number of low, solid stiles on the route.
