Overview

This is a 6.5-mile circular walk at Leisurely pace, 2.5 miles mph or less. We walk from Wigginton above Tring Park with lovely views and arrive in the small hamlet of Hastoe. We then head south through High Scrubs woods, after a while we arrive at the iron  age fort of Cholesbury Camp. We walk around some of the Camp and pass the lovely old church of St Lawrence. We will have lunch here.
Please bring food and drink.
We then skirt Cholesbury Common and head across fields. We pass some interesting wire  sculptures of sheep and a sheep dog. At the end of another section of woods we pass a plaque commemorating the deaths of the crew of a WW plane that crashed in the field beyond the woods. We soon arrive back in Wigginton where we can visit the Greyhound PH for refreshments.
The route is mostly flat with a incline, there are no stiles. Some lane walking on quiet roads. There may be some muddy areas after rain. Walking boots are highly recommended and walking poles may be useful if its muddy.
Horses and sheep may be in fields so well controlled dogs are allowed but may need to be on leads in some sections.
