Overview

This walk in the northeastern corner of the Dartmoor National Park includes a wooded section of the Teign Valley, some open moorland and an interesting tor.
We will start off in Dunsford Wood where I am hoping that the extensive wild daffodils that carpet the valley in early spring will be in full bloom. Next we will climb up onto Mardon Down, passing Wooston Castle fort on the way, before then visiting Heltor Rock later in the day, from which there are lovely views in all directions.
