Overview

We enter Windsor Great Park through Bishopgate and take a wooded path through the deer park to the Bear Rails gate where we leave the park and head off through Old Windsor to the Thames. We will walk along the Thames Path to Runnymede where we stop for a picnic lunch. There is a National Trust cafe and toilets available at the lunch stop.  After lunch we will briefly visit the Runnymede monuments including the Kennedy Memorial and then move on to the Canadian War Memorial at Coopers Hill before returning to the cars.  Conditions will be muddy and slippery in places so good boots required and poles advisable. There is one moderate hill after lunch.  The walk is not advisable for dogs as we will be entering the deer park.  Pace will be leisurely to moderate
