Winsley, K&A Canal and Conkwell Round, with one steep hill

Down to Elbow, via Turleigh, getting good views across the Limpley Stoke Valley on the lower section. We then keep on the Winsley side of the K & A Canal to Murhill Wharf, with its interesting industrial remnants before climbing the inclined plane up to the quarries above, finally emerging at Avon Park. Thereafter, it’s Conkwell, a very pretty little hamlet, and woods and fields past Haugh and Hartley farms back to the cars.  One steep hill.  Bring snack.
