This is a 12.5 mile walk, starting from the picturesque village of Woodchurch, which heads over open country, fields, woodland tracks and also through a vineyard.
Heading in a clockwise direction our route take us initially through Cole Wood and over to Coldblow, which hopefully won't be as bleak as the name suggest for this Springtime yomp! From there we soon join a byway which takes us through Orlestone Forest Nature Reserve and across the road and into Faggs Wood.
On reaching the edge of Hamstreet, we join a stretch of the Saxon Shore Way, as we pass by Warehorne Church and the Woolpack Inn, although it will be too early for a our pub stop. But don't get panic attacks over going past the pub, as there is one at end of walk, phew thank goodness for that.
On reaching Kenardington church, we will stop for our picnic lunch break, before continuing on to soon reach the ever expanding Gusbourne Vineyard. Once we reach Appledore Heath, we turn northwards passing by Hornes Place and over Shirley Moor and back into Woodchurch, where the Six Bells awaits thirsty walkers.
There are a few slight inclines and there could be some mud, but hopefully by the time we reach April for this walk, snorkel & flippers won't be required.
Sorry no dogs
