Overview

This is a walk of 12.5 miles on footpaths found on OS Explorer Map 149 starting from Challock, the village being well situated, and can be reached easily either via the A251 or A252.

We begin by setting off north of the village, crossing the busy roundabout that links the two roads mentioned above, passing through Brushdane Wood, to reach Pested Lane. On reaching Badlesmere, we cross the A251, to later reach Bell's Forstal. Then it is a mix of woodland & open countryside, to eventually arrive at Stalisfield Green at the halfway point of the walk.

Our short picnic lunch will take place here, as well as visit to the Plough for drinks, as the law states that you can't pass a pub, especially not one in such a delightful setting. After our break, the circuit goes to the church and Court Lodge Farm, as we meander back to eventually return to Challock.

Dogs welcome, but when required please put on a short lead.
