Overview

We will start the walk in the large National Trust free car park at Friday Street. The countryside around Friday Street is hilly and generally sandstone underfoot, however it can be muddy in places. I have chosen a circular walk trying to avoid as much waterlogged ground as possible and with as few steep hills as possible but the area is such that some undulation is inevitable. The area is mainly wooded with some open clearings. Gates or stiles if any are few and far between.
