Overview

This approximately 8 mile walk visits the most interesting parts of Mickleham Downs and Norbury Park, with good vews over the Mole Gap and the riverside.

Bring a picnic and drinks.

Walking poles will help where the paths are flinty.

Free car parking at the start.

The hilly parts of the walk are not onerous.  If hot (!) or windy (!) there is shade and tree cover.

The start point is on the 465 bus route. Alight at Givons Grove roundabout.

Young Street Public car park is on the A246 just west of Givons Grove roundabout near Leatherhead. If coming from the direction of Guildford there is no right turn into the car park, it is safest to go on to the roundabout and back and turn left off the road.
