We take a bus to the start of the walk and walk back to our cars in Boxford. Meet at Bus Stop opposite The Fleece hotel, in Boxford. Bus departs at 10.07  arriving in Sudbury approx. 10.40.

After starting off along the Stour river in Sudbury, the walk climbs up to the top of the Suffolk Chalklands. The footpaths are generally good though muddy in places. There are two stiles.  Short stop at Little Cornard Church after 3 miles and a longer stop at Assington after 7 miles – bring refreshments for the whole walk, though there is a café at Assington. Toilets available in Sudbury and Assington
