The route crosses the recreation ground at Blewbury car park before gradually climbing to the summit of Churn Hill, where there should be outstanding views across the countryside to the north - especially to the fast expanding town of Didcot (!) and Blewburton Hill Fort. After stopping to catch our breath, we descend gradually past the Gallops to Blewbury Down, crossing the dismantled railway line to begin the ascent to the Ridgeway, where the route turns west to reach Gore Hill. A gradual descent and even more gradual ascent takes us to Chilton to join the Lynch Way, which takes us into Upton. We return to the cars via field paths.
This walk is limited to 18 participants and so you are requested to book online via the link below before 6.00 on Saturday, 6th December.
