A circular walk from Cod Beck Reservoir to Swainby and back through woods, moors, fields and some quiet roads. Quite a ‘higgeldy-piggedly’ up and down walk where you also encounter a few stiles and a couple of fairly steep ascents (poles recommended). At this time of year there is quite a lot of bracken, thistles and nettles, so long trousers are recommended.
HEAT ALERT! Temperatures in Osmotherley could reach over 30 degrees, therefore depending on how attendees feel on the day, this walk could be shortened to just over 7.5 miles which would also take out the two steep ascents.
