The walk starts at Grimwith reservoir close to the superbly refurbished toilet block .We go down the access road to Dibble,s Bridge then across grass paths toward Appletreewick. Around 500 metres of the mid section is poorly defined with some quite high vegetation . A rough track drops us down into Appletreewick We then access the Wharfe riverbank and walk on good grass surfaces to Skyreholme . A section of quiet road takes us toward Parcevall Hall .
Heading directly then to Trollers Gill.
At the bottom of the Gill anyone not wishing to traverse the Gill will be directed to an easy to follow bypass route and a point at which to meet up again with those who have walked the Gill.
We then walk to a road crossing and a fairy level track direct to the place we started.
It is quite challenging but on the Trollers Gill section we can all go at our own pace with some sections requiring hand on scrambling , the accent must be on care and safety not speed.
