Walking in and around Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire

Our group is in the north eastern corner of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park and it covers the council districts of Chesterfield, Bolsover, & north east Derbyshire. We are made up of friendly people who enjoy walking and want to protect the places we all love to walk.

Our walks

We organise regular walks, many in the Peak District, led by knowledgeable leaders, who love sharing their knowledge of the local footpaths with you.

We organise over 200 walks a year on weekdays and at the weekends. These include short and long, car and public transport, easy and strenuous, linear and circular walks.

You can try us out by joining us for two or three walks without commitment.

As well as organising walks we try to protect our local rights of way by reporting problems on them to the council and by looking at planning applications to see if they affect them. Some members also play a part in footpath maintenance.
