Walks are over easy ground and taken at steady pace to suit everyone
Walks range from 10 to 90 minutes in length
At least one short walk a week, starting at the same time and place every week
All walks are accessible on foot or by public transport
You only need to join a group once to access all future walks
Start from the Roundhouse on Biggar Bank at the end of the A590, the walk goes East along Ocean Rd to the Walney Promenade, North to Jubilee Bridge and as far as Mill Lane. Then turning West towards the Fort and over Furness Golf course to the shore. South on The Walney Greenway, the route then passes Sandy Gap at the end of Central Drive and returns on The Greenway to Biggar Bank, Full café service is available at The Roundhouse Hub.
Some soft sand when starting along the Greenway but this can be avoided by using Black Butts Lane and walking down Central Drive.
