Overview

This 12 mile walk takes in 5 ponds, track walks, heathland and woods, through beautiful East Hampshire countryside.  There are 3 hills, no descents a number of stiles in good condition and an abundance of wild flowers.  Part of the walk will be along the Hangers Way.

This is a picnic walk, please bring lunch, snacks and drinks.

Poles are advised if used.  Hopefully most of the mud will have dried out giving good walking conditions.

Take A31 to Alton, B3004 to Bordon, before Kingsley turn right onto Oakhanger Road, car park signed for Shortheath Common is 1/2 mile on the left. Parking area near the lake.
