Overview

A towpath/riverside walk on the Lea Navigation Canal and the New River, with a short road walk past St Margaret's Station before rejoining the Lea. Increasingly peaceful as we leave London behind.

Possible drop-out points at Broxbourne and St Margaret's.

Train:  London Liverpool Street 10:12; Tottenham Hale 10:25; Enfield Lock (Zone 6) 10:34 (Hertford East train).  Return from Ware, same line, trains every half hour.  Freedom pass holders buy single from Ware to Enfield Lock, others may find a return to Ware is cheaper. 

Toilets at Lea Valley White Water Centre and Broxbourne.

Lunch: picnic/cafe at Broxbourne.
